That is because high profile people are being tested regardless. They have the money to do so, even if they aren't showing any symptoms. We are never going to catch up to this thing because the people spreading it around have it but don't know it. What is the point of testing someone that is already sick? Would they do anything or tell them anything different positive or negative? If they only have the flu, do they tell them to go gallivanting around and not worry about anything? No, they tell them to go home and get better.
I guarantee if we tested everyone in the US, there would be millions testing positive that do not have any symptoms. That is why it cannot be stopped.
I say, we pass testing kits out to all the high schools in the country, get all the kids tested. This would be a big sample size to get a better idea of what we are dealing with and we would be sending people home if they test positive regardless of how they feel.
Continuing to test people that are already really sick or deathly ill is just a way to make the mortality rate rise and scare the shit out of people, like the media already has.
