I'm about to get hit by a massive cat2 storm, planning on running around in the rain. Unfortunately I doubt we'll get strong winds here but if I don't see a lot of flash floods I'll be surprised.

(I mean I'm pretty far inland rn so I'm sure I'll be fine. RIP the coastline though. I fully expect my home to be flooded)

Why are you going running in a hurricane? Don't.

Stay safe, Vaar.

Because I'm me, and running in the rain is fun

I'm in the mountains rn so I'll mostly just get rain. My town though flooded bad the last time a big hurricane came through so I expect something similar this time around. I appreciate the advice though <3

Vaarka Im gonna have to see your official 'Floridian' license because only licensed Floridians are allowed to do stupid shit like run around in a category 3 storm or above.

I have my Illinois license where I play football in an EF-3 or above tornado and sunbathe during a 40 degree farenheit day

This is the mentality Trump has brought out in his people.

Awesome, I remember running around in Sandy. The wind and rain is exhilarating.

just got an email from my school, we're expecting flooding and high wind to hit between Saturday and Monday. Good thing I don't like on the first floor...

EDIT: flooding is a strong word. It was more of a "much rain" thing...

yes lol. People are talking about how "omg I called an uber to pick me up in a hurricane I'm terrible", but it's been sprinkling all day. Hardly hurricane weather, not even windy

Oh yeah update

the "hurricane" weather we were expecting was just a day and a half of moderate to light rain. It wasn't very windy.

The coast is screwed up (ik a guy in Wilmington whose house got washed out and has been living in his car), but here I think the worst that happened was a small flashflood at bottom of a hill and a car wreck a few miles off campus

aka I'm fine. I've gotten worse weather from a regular thunderstorm.
