***Impeachment of President Donald Trump--LIVE UPDATES***

This is the day Democrats everywhere have been waiting for since the conclusion of the 2016 Election. The House of Representatives is scheduled to hold a vote today on the two Articles of Impeachment that were authorized. This will be the first vote of its kind since the impeachment of President William "Bill" Clinton in December 1998. Had Democrats waited one more day, Trump's impeachment would've been held on the 21st anniversary of the famous/infamous GOP vote against the 42nd President, which would make their revenge just a tad more poetic.

House Republicans started the day off by holding a vote to stop impeachment proceedings. The measure was defeated 226-188, a sign that the President's impeachment is virtually guaranteed.

Before the vote is to be held, six hours of final debate have been scheduled, beginning at 9 AM local time. The big vote is expected for "later this evening" according to USAToday.

An anti-impeachment, pro-Trump demonstration is to take place today in Washington D.C., following a very large anti-Trump, pro-impeachment rally that was held Tuesday night. It is unclear how many people will show up. While the President retains tens of millions of supporters among the GOP base, Republicans are notorious for their lesser turnout rates at political gatherings. The District of Columbia in particular is a local stronghold of anti-Trump sentiment, so any supporters wishing to show up would have to travel a long way.

It is a proud day for americans. A criminal who has abused the office he was entrusted with is finally being shown there are consequences to his actions, maybe for the 1st time in his life given that he has always hidden behind his daddy, his money and his lawyers.

One poll today had it at 51%-45% not in favor of such.

If you think about it, the president's approval rate probably needs to be in the 20% area to even have a shot at removing with 2/3 of the Senate.

He is going to be impeached.He most likely won't be removed by the Senate because they are too afraid. But he still has to live with being the 3rd president in history to be impeached. 

And who knows, maybe the senate will surprise us. 

In a Democracy, representatives should be afraid of voting against the will of the people.

In a Tyranny, they don't give a fuck, kinda like some of the 30 Democrats about to lose their seat.

Like, even independent voters were less than half in favor.

Removal form office isn't going to happen for the same reason impeachment was destined to happen:

A hyper majority of Democrats support it

A hyper majority of Republicans are against it

It is political suicide to not follow those numbers from your base

officialy impeached by partisan operation by corrupt dems

Impeachment is now the norm of politics, expect every president to be impeached

Trump is celebrating with a rally and asking for record amounts of political donations. Bill Clinton was NEVER that bold.

Founding fathers should have required a 2/3 house vote to impeach. That would have forced a non-partisan vote instead of this disaster.
