Where were all the libs claiming England had rejected common sense?
UK Conservatives Win

This is quite a shock to me, I wouldn't have expected a conservative wave given how much Boris is hated.
I am fucking furious about this result. Brits are more reserved with their anger though. Less vocal in the international media, you could say, when compared with US. It will evoke many issues. Boris will pressure Scotland to leave UK while hebpretends to stop them doing so and soon Northern Ireland will too. Watch.

Scotland recently voted to stay in the U.K. and 55% of Scot's did not vote for the S.N.P.
In politics it presumably is always the lesser of all the evils that gets elected.
And Johnson et al, were overwhelmingly deemed to be the far lesser of all the evils on offer.
And I think that you would find, especially if people were to be honest, that Boris Johnson is far from hated.
And for the record. I am British non-political and therefore a non participant in elections.
Johnson, Corbyn, Sturgeon et al. One cross on a piece of paper and then back to the same old, same old for the next 5 years.
And I did originally vote to Remain.
Simply based on the fact that I love cycling in Europe.
Shallow hey!

I am sorry but I do not recall asking your opinion on the matter. You do realise that the referendum on Scottish Independence was before they knew that the rest of the UK would blackmail them into leaving the EU, which they are very fond of, right?

@Trent0405
Boris is not hated, but is certainly not very loved either.
But the vote was actually against Corbin, not for Boris. People can't stand moron liberals telling them stupid things any simpleton should know is nonsense.

@ethang5
Do tell me how on Earth you can say Corbyn is a liar or swindler when compared with Boris Johnson? Lesser of two evils? LOL?! Wrong. Go ahead, tell me why.

I did not say Corbyn was a liar or swindler when compared with Boris Johnson.

Tell you why what? I don't even know why you think I said Corbyn was a liar or swindler when compared with Boris Johnson.
What I do know is that most people reject liberalism. It doesn't make sense. Even usual labor voters voted for Boris. The vote was a rejection of Corbyn, he knows this, which is why he's stepping down.

Sorry for butting in, but let's not call liberals idiots. It is leftists that are the idiots, and I don't think it is good when we conflate the two. Classical liberals are all about freedom, but just believe in some more social spending than conservatives. They are generally fairly rational people.
The leftists are more socialistic fellas that want to nationalize industries and regulate speech. They are silly.

@bmdrocks21
I have no problem with your distinctions.
Please categorize these public figures for me. Are they liberal or leftist?
Nancy Polosi
Adam Shiff
Barack Obama
Jerry Nadler
Can one categorize organizations? How about....
CNN?
MSNBC?
HUFF POST?
VOX?
Thanks.

@ethang5
I don't know about all of those people.
They are slimy politicians. While I think that Nancy Pelosi on a personal level might be a liberal, for the sake of political gain she is supporting more leftist stances than she would without political pressure. Obama is borderline. He is for Obamacare, which is less psycho than Medicare for all.
With organizations, I would say characterize their reporters individually. CNN has little diversity of thought and are mostly borderline leftists, though.

Leftists are not idiots. I can categorically tell you that in my personal life, I have consistently noticed a brutal difference beween left and right wingers in intelligence. Even the most unlikable left-winger is usually medium in intelligence at a bare minimum.
Right Wing can't be the more intelligent wing, it assumes that being lazy in leadership will make your underlings be at their best.
@RationalMadman.
But you nonetheless couldn't resist giving me your opinion.
The referendum on Scottish independence was just that.
Thursdays vote was a Parliamentary election.
Two very different things.
Nonetheless Scottish Nationalists only took a minority share of the vote, which was completely reflective of the 2014 referendum.
Anyway I pleased to see that you guys over there find our politics and politicians just as entertaining as we find yours.

@RationalMadman
I suppose I didn't mean to say that the people were idiots. I just meant that what they believe isn't smart and doesn't work.
Also, big government advocates assume that a few individuals can perfectly plan around the millions of decisions that individuals make every day. I don't have that much faith in them.
-->
@bmdrocks21
So... In your scenario the few rich elite do it instead and ensure the poor get as poor as possible.
Nice faith placement... Idk a less triggered way to show how utterly ridiculous that argument you just gave was.
-->
@RationalMadman
And instead you want to give immense legal and political power to corrupt politicians who are bought by said businessmen. Nice one.
Orange man bad
Boris Johnson is the main hoorah

"In politics it presumably is always the lesser of all the evils that gets elected." I agree 99.9999% of the time. I have only voted for two people since I was old enough to vote that I didn't consider the lesser of two evils. That includes all city state and federal elections. Reagan and Trump have been the only two. Ironically they are the only two people out of all the people I have ever voted for in my life that have won.

@sadolite
Excellent choices both.
-->
@ethang5
I thought so and in my opinion proved to be very good choices for America and the world.

@sadolite
Your opinion happens to be parallel with reality. Good head you have on your shoulders there Sir.
