In this setup, there are dreamers who are town and one nightmare who is mafia. Dreamer and nightmare actions work the same. Each night, every player can submit a "dream" in which anything they describe could happen! Nightmares still have the optional kill.

  • At night, each player may submit any action they want.
  • I reserve the right to limit or reject game-breaking actions.
  • I reserve the right to interpret vague actions as they see fit.
  • I may restrict actions to affect only one target.
  • I may restrict killing actions and allow the Nightmares a factional kill.

The goal is to lynch all mafia members. You vote during the day and submit actions at night. Mafia tries to kill all town.

The DP ends at 7:22 PM, October 25th. With 5 players alive, it takes 3 to lynch.

All dreams must be in a dream format. Simply saying something such as "Investigate X player" is not ok. You would have to say something such as "I sneak into the house of X player to determine the alignment of him/her."

So if we do a dream it just happens? Like if 5 people all choose investigative abilities we all get results? Can we use multiple abilities in the same night?

I'm new at this, but I would suggest dragging this first round out until the last day to get as much info as possible, then vote for no lynch. With so few people, we can't afford to mislynch.

If we lynch now and the mafia kills someone, there will only be two dreamers left with very little to go on after only one round. They will have one shot with low odds.

Not really, if we all go kill random people then there's a high chance one of those blindly selected people are mafia.
Not a high chance at all, actually. A very low chance. Considering game balance, I would say its safe to assume with 5 players there is only one who is mafia. Two mafia means that one mislynch equals a mafia win. So if you are town with a vigilante kill you have only a 25% chance of correctly killing mafia in the first night.Also if we all blindly use a kill tonight, theres a good chance the game would be over np1, that sounds what I think would qualify as "Gamebreaking". Also a lot less fun than actually scum hunting and finding out scum through behavioral analysis tactics.

Rather, I think the correct move would be for town to use as many protective type roles as possible. If mafia gets two kills and two mis-lynches they win. I'd hope to see doctors and bulletproofs tonight.

This sounds like a good idea, but it might be considered gamebreaking if everyone is protected, because then the mafia would be unable to win.

 I don't know. What do you think about a combination of cops and doctors?

I just realized that cops might be useless. Since the nightmare can also use a dream ability, he would just make himself a godfather every time.

Depends on if we get a mislynch today. If we mis-lynch we get an automatic LYLO the following phase, in which I am dis-inclined to believe any results. Might be worth considering a no lynch today unless there is really scummy behavior we just can't ignore.

Well that too. I would suggest people get creative with their roles, tracker, watcher results are probably more useful investigative roles if we don't mislynch today.
