To an extent? As long as it can be reasonably managed well in a way that benefits everyone

Communism is political. Socialism is economic. The two work hand in 🤚

Your profile reads:
I am an aspiring lawyer who is trying to do my best to learn the ins and outs of debate. I am constantly growing and hope to learn a lot on this site. :)
So this raises some questions:
  1. How far into your legal career are you, and what's the biggest obstacle related to that you've had to overcome?
  2. Given that you're here "to learn the ins and outs of debate," what are the best and worst lessons on debate this site has taught you?
  3. What are the best and worst lessons on debate you've learned outside this site?

  1. I just sent off college applications Thursday and I have a law internship this year. Umm the biggest I guess is that I'm really shy, so I have to get over talking to people I don't know because that terrifies me.
Define best and worst? Like the best thing I've taken away and the worst experience I've had?

However you would define them (plus, sometimes the best and worst are the same).

Given your talk of shyness, and at the risk of mansplaining, I'm going to suggest in general answering the question you wish you were given... Okay maybe not taken to the extreme level we see in political debates, but a couple of those might be worth watching to see how it is done by the masters.

Umm best is look at all sources and don't debate something you don't know, worst I think would be wasting time on debates that don't really matter maybe

Outside of here I think really to not make any assumptions about rules, um like I do policy, so there they give you the evidence and a big no no is card cutting, and this team card cutted so I ignored everything they said because if you don't read the full card it doesn't count, but then the judge said that she didn't care about that so I ended up losing, that was annoying

Best I think was when I debated Maverick, which is by yourself against other two people teams, it was SO MUCH FUN and by far my best tournament because I work really well by myself so I loved doing that

what flavor of Christian are you?  Do you attend church regularly?  How do resolve conflicts between the law of the land and the law of God?

 Flavor? Lol nice

I don't have a denomination if that's what you're asking lol, just Christian

Kind of? For personal reasons I can't share, we don't drive a lot, so we watch online, but not recently because of busyness

What do you mean by that? For me, it's like I'm given my morals by God and then kind of follow those I guess... That's how I do interpretations of the Bible

well, ok- call it morals if u like but the legal and the moral are often at odds with one another- do you always resolve in favor of God?  Won't that make for a short legal career?

Church lol what else would I be talking about xD

No, I know lots of Christians at my office

I'm not defending the act that they do, I'm defending their rights, in fact the Bible tells me to love people no matter what so that fits perfectly

I'm confused as to how they'd be at odds?
