Guess everything that we perceive exists.
Matter can be destroyed. What happens to it?

@janesix
Matter is the difference between something and nothing.
If we actually understood matter fully, we would probably know everything that there is to be known.

@janesix
Matter is energy and energy is matter, E=Mc2 in other words. Energy = Matter multiplied by c which is the speed of light (big number) squared (or 2) which means the number is multiplied by itself. If that seems like a lot of energy you are right, it's a huge amount of energy.
I made an error in my explanation, technically it's = Mass not matter, but it's more or less the same because you need matter to have mass.

@janesix
Matter is a massive substance that occupies space.

@Paul
smart
matter can't be destroyed
-->
@Dr.Franklin
There are scientists working on doing just that.

Yup and then the law of theromydics

@Dr.Franklin
yess it can

no

mass cant be destroyed matter can

@janesix
Mass can't exist without matter.
-->
@Greyparrot
the matter in converted to energy
and what the heck is energy? is it a "thing"?

Fermionic matter. Another minimal brainer.
Enrico Fermi. You know? No? I didnt think so.
Apparrently many around here are still in grade school.

There is great black and white, 50's Superman{ George reeves } episode "Atomic City"?, where this poor makeshift concrete nuclear Fermi reactor is going to explode unless Superman can get inside and pull the rods out from the pile so as there is not critical mass explosion.
However, he cant just crash through the wall cause the city will be exposed to ionizing radiation. So this professor teaches Superman how to use mind over matter allow superman to dissolve his body into atoms{ atomize } and pass through the wall.
So superman does this but on way out he is weak from the intense radiation and he gets stuck in middle of the thick concrete wall.
I remmeber this episode more than others.

Matter is a massive substance that occupies space.
the big bang was all matter compressed into one spot, something like that anyway, so what space did it expand into? there must be a finite amount of matter for it to have been compressed or release by the big bang, so the multiverse should also be finite right?

"one spot"? Here spot, here boy. Spot = dot? And relative what? Macro-infinite non-occupied space..
A finite, 3D volume of occupied space embraced by macro-infinite non-occupied space.
Yes, any allededge multi-verse is a subcatagory of finite, occupied space Universe. That is a capitial "U" ergo is all inclusive of any subcatagorical universe's.
All so called local universes are collectively unified by coherent gravity ( ) and expansive dark energy )( i.e. the local universe's are all connected as the one finite, occupied space Universe.
This is a minimal brainer for those whose ego and/or preconditioning does not block their ability to follow rational, logical common sense.
