I wasn't there when it was good so it is best to get an opinion off DDO user at its prime from someone else.

In its prime, it was glorious. But eventually, the company that owned the site just stopped caring and the site eventually died.
Just a fun fact: I tried browsing DDO without my adblock and it was unusable. When you go to the forums and scroll down, it is an endless scroll of ads. Try it.
Never was there a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

The site is good but it's buggy beyond belief, I'd consider making an account their, btw in my opinion the ads are fine, their non inappropriate or too big, don't get me wrong though, this site is WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY better.

The people, by far. Not saying everyone on there is bad. Just that there are a few rotten apples.
Also, there are numerous technical issues with it. For example, half of the time, I have to post my argument as a google docs link because the website won't post my argument (despite it being well under character limit). Also, it capitalizes the letter after commas for some strange reason. These are just a few of the problems with the website as a whole.
