"You" would be who they are.
I am a sexually alluring dominant male who is one of the most intelligent human beings alive and probably more intelligent than the vast majority who will exist, as well.
I am basically great in every way other than my ability to submit to other people or be kind to people who are not kind.
and who are you?
-->
@zedvictor4
Explain your answer.
@RM
If you didn't have those traits would it still be you?

Fuller like to state, that each day were not the same person we were yesterday ergo we could tell you who we are today, but tommorrow we would not be the same person.
Change is eternal where not is created nor lost, only transformed within finite Universe with a finite set of cosmic laws/principles and set of parameters or processes.
Uncertainty { seeming disorder } need not neccesitate chaos { seeming disorder }.
Uncertainty of mind is just the inability to find the eternally existent cause and effect ergo deterministic order.

Who are you then?

@TheRealNihilist
Yesterday I was mustardness, today I am ebuc. Duhh WINK Wink ;--)(--;
Yesterday I was hurting today I am not.
Yesterday I had younger genes today older genes,
Yesterday I was less familiar with others on this forum than today ergo, today I have new patterns of brain networking pathways to work with.
Yesterday I had more vegatables in me than today.

@ebuc
Were you still you before you did those things?
-->
@TheRealNihilist
No, you and me are in constant change. We are not who we were 5 minutes ago, yesterday, 15 days ago, 5 years ago, 50 years ago or the you or me, we will transform into in the future.Were you still you before you did those things?
fading past << Past <<<< Out <<< ( * ) i ( * ) <<<< In <<< Future <<<< dawning future

@ebuc
So who are you then?
-->
@TheRealNihilist
Simple answer is ebuc. I thought you knew that alrdeady so not sure why you ask.So who are you then?
Ebuc is a male { Xy }
Ebuc is a cosmic thinker. See my profile.
If you want more specifics you will have to be more specific and I will decide what is to private to share.

@ebuc
The most concrete thing about ebuc is that he is male?
I am me, I am the doctor
-->
@TheRealNihilist
There exist no concrete busts etc of me Ebuc that I'm aware of.The most concrete thing about ebuc is that he is male?
Anyone who reads through many of my emails can gain other insights to who Ebuc is. Ex whether or not I have siblings.
I just did a search via my legal name and I personally did not appear ---and I' glad for that--- but 200 or more did appear in USA on one web site I went to. Wow!
-->
@TheRealNihilist
You asked: Who are you?
Well: I am me.
Therefore: the you that you referred to is me.
Therefore: "You" is who I am and also who they are.

@TheRealNihilist
Can the question be restated as 'what is self?
-->
@keithprosser
I rather it be personal so that you are talking for yourself and I like the name.Can the question be restated as 'what is self?
What is self sounds like cliche philosophy. Mine I think is more of a spin on it.

You asked: Who are you?Well: I am me.Therefore: the you that you referred to is me.Therefore: "You" is who I am and also who they are.
I referred you in the past tense. Now are you still you after I referred to you in a question?
This isn't helpful for dialogue. Do you want me to criticize your use of colons because you certainly didn't use them correctly. Just this once I'll do a similar thing to you (not addressing what the person had in mind. If it wasn't clear what I wanted you could've asked).
Colon: The colon is a punctuation mark consisting of two equally sized dots centered on the same vertical line. A colon precedes an explanation or an enumeration, or list.
Since you did not use the colon to explain a word/phrase before the colon or used it to list something you used it wrong.

Let me tell you who I am
I am the man
That is scared of concrete
For you I have a plan
I put my money in the bank
I don't keep it in my hand
And sometimes it all goes wrong I make a stand
Whenever, I walk down the street I feel afraid
People want there money cause they want to get paid
All I want is a little love and to live my life.

Men are pushers, women are attractors B Fuller
Men are always thinking they are pushing things, when in fact nothing can be pushed and when it is pushed that pushing is always a resultant of pulling-INward.
Woman most often are born with a womb.
Men are never born with a womb.
Some females species can reproduce exact clones of themselves.
No male species can reproduce exact clones of themselves.

I like your twist on the "self" question, so i'll bite. I am the person observing/experiencing this reality in the present moment. This person is one of many depending on the present reality. But from what i am starting to understand about this person is that black is its primary favorite color bc of everything the color means in all its variations to this person i call me.
-->
@TheRealNihilist
Who were you would be a past tense.
Who are you refers to a current situation.
Nonetheless, "you" is who they are and would also be who they were.
And "a colon precedes an explanation". Yep, as presented.

@zedvictor4
Who were you would be a past tense.
If you read the topic question it was in present tense. What separates your present self with your past self?
And "a colon precedes an explanation". Yep, as presented.
Yes by explaining what was before the colon. As in Zedvictor: Someone who still refuses to answer a simple question.

@Outplayz
So you weren't you in the past?I am the person observing/experiencing this reality in the present moment.
But from what i am starting to understand about this person is that black is its primary favorite color
If black wasn't your favorite color would it still be you?
-->
@TheRealNihilist
You have just contradicted your previous reply.
And you also appear to be experiencing colon problems.
-->
@zedvictor4
How?You have just contradicted your previous reply.
And you also appear to be experiencing colon problems.
No I don't.

@TheRealNihilist
This will relate to the color black example. Ever since i have been asked what my favorite color is, i've chosen black (i liked it before i was asked too). My reasons for this choice haven't changed but they have evolved. I was a different person in the past, but that person that see's beauty in such a color hasn't... that's the "meness" part that i notice has stayed consistent. But, 10 year ago me is a lot different than the person i am now in other ways. For instance i hated pop music, now i like some. Considering that, "were you still you in the past" ... yes and no. There are elements that are still me, and some that aren't the same as past me.So you weren't you in the past?
It would depending on many things. If the color black didn't exist, then i'd likely find a color that gives me the same reasons why i like black. It's not so much the color, it's the reasons why i like the color. That can happen with some other colors. Then, there are some extreme examples that i wouldn't be able to tell you like brain injury changing this favorite... is that possible? Idk. Would my reasons also change? Idk. I can tell you that if i am at full capacity of who i am now, it will remain my favorite for the reasons i hold it to be so.If black wasn't your favorite color would it still be you?
