Just point out that over 92% of these maniacs are far-Right. Way back when that Norway guy hit that island to now, it's almost always far-Right mentality that leads to such toxic outcomes.

I believe the stock reply to that particular point would be "These people are mentally ill outliers who do not represent our values". Unfortunately when it comes to some people, facts aren't the magic bullet that they should be

Since the cold war, there hasn't been any example of mass-spread non-state-sanctioned-miltary violence from the left-leaners of any nation. Prove me wrong.

While having a national fatherless epidemic alone or a sensationalist media alone probably does not breed many mass shooters, the MIXTURE of those 2 things is most certainly toxic enough to account for most abused and neglected shooters seeking validation. Which of those 2 national social problems would you like to see tackled and how?

Probably groups outside of the Overton window.

As far as wings go, the defining central core tenet between the "wings" in America is more government control and social authority on one side and less government control and more national authority on the other side. I don't see how either wing is particularly appealing to a suicidal misfit.

Or maybe you're just not as attuned to a mass murderer's ideology when it isn't "right-wing," and only get your news from sources as biased as you are. Out of the three recent shootings to make headlines, one of the perpetrators was a socialist who opposed the 2A. He had worse aim than the other guy, which lets the media focus on the other shooting while keeping their agenda at least somewhat hidden. Of course, it's still self-evident to anyone with a bit of common sense.

Another example is the Las Vegas shooter, who was also an angry leftist who wanted to kill Trump and his supporters.

But you're probably correct that there are more right-wing acts of terror in the US, and it makes perfect sense that there would be. For one thing, right-wingers are more likely to be gun-obsessed. For another thing, the country has been trending leftward for decades, so right-wingers have much more of a reason to feel desperate than left-wingers, who can expect to achieve many of their goals just by waiting.

Neither of your sources rebut the claim being made, which is that these men were "left-leaners" who perpetuated "mass-spread non-state-sanctioned-miltary violence."

While it's true that the Las Vegas shooter didn't leave behind a manifesto spelling out his motives, it's reasonable to assume that a leftist like Paddock targeted a country musical festival because he knew there'd be many conservatives there. If it had been a right-winger who had attacked a largely black crowd at a rap concert, or Muslims who had come to worship at a mosque, I seriously doubt you'd see any issue with ascribing a motive.

Stop twisting things and playing this bullshit angle.

Which Wing's News forced things to become sensationalising and drama-oriented? For the US, Fox News is the one who always dramatised and had the 'wow' factor more so than any other major news outlet. What happened was undoubtedly that CNN, ABC etc realised they had to hold the audience's attention just as much and they began to play along.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's actually look at WHAT IS SENSATIONALISED. Which side sensationalises 'we want guns and to get rid of these filthy foreigners, we are at war and the Left is keeping our eyes clouded!'?

That's the right-wing.

Which side is sensationalising OH MY GOD THIS FASCIST FUCKTARD MUSSOLINI WANNABE IS RUINING AMERICA AND RADICALISING THE YOUNG ADULTS OF TODAY?

THAT'S RIGHT, IT'S THE ACCURATE LEFTIST MEDIA THAT IS TRYING TO WARN YOU ALL OF A FUCKING TRUTH THAT YOU THOUGHT WAS A JOKE WHEN YOU VOTED FOR TRUMP. LOOK HOW TRUE IT IS, LOOK AT THE DEAD BODIES AND DON'T TELL ME YOU THINK IF THEY ALL HAD GUNS TO SHOOT BACK WITH IT WOULD REDUCE CASUALTIES NO, no no no no it will just make more bloodshed and tiny domestic disputes will blow up into murders or manslaughter via duress.

This is why it's important to learn at least some math, so you don't end up wasting half your life being terrified about threats which are mostly imaginary.

If you add up allllllllll the deaths from allllllll the shootings, it comes to like one plane crash. Not even the worst plane crash, just a pretty bad one. And because of that "plane crash," we're supposed to have a "national conversation" about repealing the Second Amendment and fighting back against White Terrorism. Give me a break. You're only able to get away with it because we live on Planet of the Sheep. In a rational world, you'd be looked at as a total fool. Maybe even a madman ;)

This highlights deeply disturbing psyche on your part. I am genuinely worried for you and believe you need therapy, this is not trolling or insult.

In another thread you recently made you said several paragraphs that sum up to be: 'Trump is a white supremacist fascist and I love that he denies being one as that's the only way to make it work'. https://www.debateart.com/forum/topics/2257/is-trump-blowing-it

Your forum was asking if Trump was not properly ensuring that the white supremacist agenda was enacted and by 'blowing it' you clearly meant failing to properly achieve such a horrific agenda.

You are someone who needs help but believe me, you are not alone and are a victim of a propaganda brainwashing scheme by the Right. I hope very much you are made to feel calm and loving peace before it's too late.

Founding Fathers to each other:

"Hey guys, do you think future generations will know to repeal this amendment if they ever manage to invent planes and one of them crashes?"

"Of course! It's only the second one, after all."

There's nothing wrong with being a White Nationalist. Did you know that all of our presidents and most of the American population was White Nationalist up until a few generations ago? This was even true at the time we went to war against the Nazis (so much for being Nazis).

If I spent an equal amount of time crying about every human tragedy, I wouldn't even have time to produce a single tear for these people. Now enough of your libtard shenanigans. These people don't matter as much as you'd like to pretend. A human life is not of infinite value, and the loss of a few dozen of them should not be enough to change anything at the national level.

White nationalism is currently outside the Overton window. There just are not enough people alive that still believe in inherent ability or disability based on melanin content. Even the leftists that believe people of color are too stupid to survive without white-controlled government assistance are dying off.

While having an excessive amount of guns in the country or the ability to access those guns alone probably does not breed many mass shooters, the MIXTURE of those 2 things is most certainly sufficient enough to account for most abused and neglected people to become shooters. Which of those 2 national political problems would you like to see tackled and how?

Obviously, I'd like to target the second one seeing as the 1st one is impossible considering the scope of how many guns are already in the country.. Trump's pledge to strengthen red-flag laws is a step in the right direction provided he can build a coalition to refine the policy.

Your turn now, and no more whataboutisms, please.

The first one is entirely possible. It's a question of reducing inflow of guns and increasing outflow of guns such that the outflow exceeds inflow. Over time this will result in less guns. Knowing this, does this change your answer?

As for your question, I'd go with the media just because it seems to me there is a rather straightforward solution while the solution for a disjointed family is far more nebulous. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think the issue is with sensationalism for false narratives. It's a simple issue of covering stories and monkey see monkey do. As for how I'd go about it, I would make it illegal to publish any sort of details on the perpetrator or videos of the act.

Yeah, sadly this might have to be the new norm since nobody can seem to get a handle on this.

A mass shooting is more than two deaths in one incident. So a murder suicide is a mass shooting. Seems to be a number padding system.

Personally I think mass shootings are the new serial killers. Used to be you could criss cross the nation killing at will and go undetected for years. Now with cameras, phones, satellite and what not it's harder to do. Most serial killers are caught between one and three deaths. It's why all of the killers are males.
