That claim immediately raises my suspicions. According to the wiki, "the Valg are a race of powerful and malicious demons." This does not seem like the kind of role a townie would have.

I think the protagonist assassin is Fae, the antagonists are Valg At least a King and Queen. Fae vs. Valg might be good race vs. evil race but maybe it is more complex than that and I can't sacrifice sufficient amounts of my limited attention to find out.
