So I want to do a debate about Christopher Columbus. I wanted it to be whether Christopher Columbus is a exaggerated evil. I think he is. How should I structure this debate. Should I waive the first round rebuttal points only. Should I pick the most common arguments in the first round. I need help.

You can phrase it as “The evil committed by Christopher Columbus has been exaggerated”, you’d go first, and you’d probably want to launch into arguments in support of that first of all.

Waiving first round is mainly when you want your opponent to have BoP.

I wholly agree with what Ram' said. I also advise putting any definitions (such as "evil") in the description.

Depending on who accepts, you may need to launch the debate a couple times to get it onto the part of the topic you really desire.
