Oh yeah, and I decided I'm going to try to learn Russian. AKA the most alien-sounding language on planet earth. Apparently the letter h does not exist in their alphabet (or, at least, not by itself). A giant incomplete mess which, somehow, adequately fulfills the needs of the language.

(I know no Russian, so Bulgarian is as close as I can get, linguistically...)

Russian is, I've heard, hard to learn. Cases and declensions are horrid in any language. Best of luck.

Learn Russian through the Russian Orthodox Church.

Nah, I don't think so.

The USSR collapsed not long after allowing The Church to speak publicly. Before that they persecuted the church heavily. I mean, as much genocide as they could get away with. Tens of millions murdered.

Communists love to kill Christians when they get in power. They really don't like us. It is institutional to the whole thing.
