Welcome to the Spring Fling Rap Battle Tourney. I am your host, SupaDudz, and today we will be looking at the new tournament

RULES

-Seeds will chosen at random

-1 and 2 seed will receive a bye for the first round

-Doxxing disses are an instant DQ

-These rap battles and disses are not the real feelings of users

-Respect and Dignity for each

-It is up to the people going against each other to make the rap battle

JUDGING

Rounds 1 and 2 will be judged by Supa. I am fair and non biased judge. The Finals will have 3 judges of my choosing, so make sure you have judge selection and type in my name

If Type1 signs up, I hope it stays as judge-style debate and that it's non-elo affecting still.

I will double check that they don't affect elo before engaging in something against him. He's easily the second-best rapper here who is even better than me at rhyme-scheme consistency (but inferior in all other areas than that) that has a style and viciousness that can defeat me in some people's eyes and anyone with a grudge can easily justify a vote. I will not risk it vs him. One loss to him and I'm dirt-elo (or average having to grind it all back up).

I think I would be terrible at this.  I probably have way less biographical insight into likely participants than others and I don't listen to that much rap.  Grand Theft Auto 3 San Andreas soundtrack is about as deep as I go.  Leonard Cohen or Tom Waits is more my listening pleasure.  Look, if you really need a sixth and you don't mind that I will suck, I'll give it a go just to keep things lively.

Thing is you gotta love rap inside out to rap on my level.

It doesn't take that long at all to do

We are forcing everyone to be shamed without teaching them, big daddy madman will see if there's interest in becoming a good rapper first, then school y'all.

Apart from type1, he is too stubborn and arrogant to learn.

In what sense? That is literally a case of you reading my raps and picking for yourself if you mean learning by example.

There's so much to rap that's not clear-cut (type1 is a rhyme-scheme supremacist who doesn't understand the value of other things other than perhaps depth of lyrics in severity, not even in depth of metaphor-stacking).

Eminem is obviously one of the best to listen to, to understand rhyme scheme manipulation and pun-integration but he's hardly the greatest at the latter. He loves to 'rhyme rhyme rhyme' at the sake of anything else, much like type1.

It's about opinion; there's no right style but there ARE wrong styles. This is not a contradiction and no, there are NOT finite right styles. Mix and match what you prioritize, and you begin to see a whole new world open.

One of the greatest 'pure skill' rappers to have ever lived is vinnie paz. He has no category of rap, at all below 8/10. His worst category is depth of puns/metaphors. That's his only 8/10.

I'm watching 8mile on Netflix.  I saw it when it came out but not since.  Man, I waited for a bus a couple of times at 8mile and Grand one hot summer years ago- a shocking dividing line between white and black, wealth and poverty right there.  I wonder if its still like that.

um, it's more like he was the only white guy in a trailer park where mostly it was blacks around the neighbourhood. So he was trailer park trash but the opposite kind to rednecks. The 'divide' wasn't really there, he was just bottom of the white food-chain and the only white amongst the poor blacks so it led to a lot of seclusion.
