We don't know that the mafia knows the theme split exactly, we just know that they have at least been given a hint about what not to claim.
Not sure why you want everyone to state their relationship to Tony Soprano. Feels like a weird way of getting people to softclaim. I'm fine with claiming my character's gender, though. My character is male.

Oh wait, just reread the OP, scum do know the theme split. I don't think that changes much, though, as more often than not they figure it out anyway. Theme split analysis doesn't usually help the town much in practice.

Why are we pressuring that2 right off the bat? That said, I haven’t played with them, but it still feels scapegoating. Past behavior shouldn’t be the only reason to pressure someone this early in the game.

I was pressuring her, because she folded pretty badly in the last mafia game as scum and figured we could probably figure her out pretty fast this time if the last game was any rubric to judge her scum play. But after her soft I am pretty sure she is town now.

I agree, I think that pressuring someone early just because they're not good at fakeclaiming is a really lame meta. It also really hurt the town in Shocking TV Moments Mafia. I'm not keen to repeat that one.

Its also worked before to catch people, so just because it doesn't work one time doesn't mean its a bad strategy. Force the players to get good at fake claiming or they can continually lose, eventually they will break.

Isn't the theme split with shows and stuff usually just good guys vs bad guys? There's no analysis necessary here. How about we do another round of soft claims just to lock everyone down to a character without out right claiming?

I don't hate that idea. Maybe we could do something where we claim how high up in the mafia ranks we are, kinda like the relationship to Tony thing we did before. Just throwing out ideas.

You want people to research the organizational structure of the Mafia and then know who in the show is in what position. Like don vs jr don or lieutenant or whatever the fuck their ranks are.

It's just an idea. If everyone hates it then don't do it. I think it would be nice to lock in some people to characters early though.

I think town is moving at a fairly good pace, at least this game shouldn't suffer too badly from in activity. I think I might need to think if That2 is scum, but I leave that for latter in the DP.
I am pretty sure that2 is town now. I think she responded pretty well to that. Not sure if I invited but

There are no good or bad guys, only people who live or die. We see the show in Tony Soprano's perspective but he is the villain in S6.
