Welcome to Serial Killer Mafia! I would like to warn those playing in advance, some of the themes in the roles may be considered disturbing based on the nature of the theme. I hope we can all be adults about the theme and handle some of its darker intent for the sake of a good mafia game. 

Set up:

Mafia were not given fake claims, hints, or anything. There is a fairly simple theme split. 

Because I am starting this game so late, the timer technically won't start until 8 hours from now. Day phases will be the standard 72 hours, with 48 hour night phases, though if actions are submitted earlier than 48 hours the day phase will come up sooner of course.

Here is what we are going to do. Last game we did make or female this game I want to hear about rapes.

Did your killer rape dead bodies?

Did he rape and then kill the victims?

Did he rape but murder different people than he raped?

If your killer raped nobody I want to hear about that as well.

I will go first. My killer was a rapist but his rape career was separate from his murder career. I don't think they overlapped at all but maybe they did. 

I am pretty sure I would separate his rape and murder career though

Lunatic said the theme is disturbing so yes we have to spend a lot of time talking about rape and I am not secretly gratifying myself while reading your responses with detailed information.

So many potential flips.

A lot of California SKs 

A lot of truck driver SKs

From my extensive studies on becoming pardon I mean on other psychology of serial killers many got hit hard on the head as children like almost all of them so the split could be head injuries in the developing stage vs not in it. 

We also have what profilers would divide up as organized vs disorganized killers. 

We also have serial killer partners such as the ken and barbie killers vs non paired SKs.

Could be political motivated killers like the DC snipers or uncle Ted vs ones that kill just for fun like Ted Bundy. Although Ted Bundy could be 3rd party in that set up given his influence in the Republican party

Uh... maybe let's not give away or even talk about those kinds of details.

Anyway, beyond the very obvious ones, I can't say I'm terribly familiar with serial killers as a whole. This is more a subject for my wife who occasionally goes down the true crime rabbit hole. Regardless, I'll do some research over the course of this game to make sure I'm in the know on claims given, in particular because of this:

I'm guessing the reason for the former is just the existence of so many serial killers to choose from, which gives scum a large base to select from with little risk apart from the obvious choices (I'm good with making a running list of likely characters in this game, e.g. John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Jeffry Dahmer, even Jack the Ripper). Given that this is a simple theme split, we should anticipate at least one scum giving a fake claim.

All I'll say about mine for now is that I know who this is, but only because there's an associated movie.

Checking in. Ted Bundy being Popular makes perfect sense to me, though I'm not quite sure why Vader felt the need to instaclaim that. That being said, if the theme split is simple like Lunatic says it is, then I seriously doubt that scum would straightclaim their characters, and there's no way Vader would YOLO a claim like Ted Bundy, so I think he's in the clear.

Tbh I think you're thinking about this a bit too deep. Lunatic said the theme split is simple, and to me, that rules out most of your suggestions, though the mafia team being a pair of serial killer partners is a definite possibility. That being said, I really don't think theme analysis is going to get us anywhere in this game.

Yes there is a reason why my name shows up twice. Yes I have two votes right now. My character and justification lines up very well as well. And I’m pretty sure this makes me town unless you think both my positions are scum, which is possible but doesn’t make much sense
