i mean, i can relate. the federal government is bloated and often dysfunctional. but how does slashing over half the work force help? i think laymen like me and you just go with our gut... my gut says maybe some good could come of it, but in order to effectively implement our laws like the president and executive branch is suppose to do, we need people who can make the details operate correctly. didn't they say they want to cut two thirds of the federal work force? while i can sympathize with trimming bloated government, i can't help but think getting rid of that many people will just lead to poorly ran and implemented laws and government.

trump's first term was chaos and dysfunction. it seems like his second term will be the same thing, on steroids.

That is actually a good move from Trump.

Government workforce is usually considered as "non productive" or "low productive".

By moving the workforce to the market instead, government reduces its own spending, thus can reduce taxes too, thus prices, while workforce becomes more productive too, thus prices go down further as more goods and services are produced.

Not every Trump's move is stupid. Just many are.

Get real, spending stays the same, but Trump and his oligarchs get the money, then taxes go up and Trump makes even more.

You don't know shit about fascist dictators.

That is possible, but if Trump does that, then he wont fix economy like he promised.

He would be very stupid to screw up this time. If he fails, he could even be removed from office before his term expires.

A liar cannot always lie.

They will have to prove Trump is mentally incompetent to lead the country. Hard to prove that when he is making billions.

Something is strange about the Philadelphia airplane crash. On Saturday night the six people on board – all Mexican nationals – were identified. The young girl was named as Valentina Guzman Murillo, and had been traveling with her mother, Lizeth Murillo Ozuna.
The plane was piloted by Captain Alan Montoya Perales, along with his copilot Josue Juarez. Also onboard was Dr Raul Meza Arredon, and Rodrigo Lopez Padilla, a paramedic.
The Learjet 55 aircraft was operated by Mexico-based air ambulance company Jet Rescue Air Ambulance. It had ascended to 16,000 feet when it suddenly fell.

I haven't been paying close attention, has Trump given a detailed actionable plan?
Or is he just vaguely saying he will?

. . .
I suppose government jobs 'can get bloated,
Bureaucracy and such.

How To Run A Hospital | Yes Minister | BBC Comedy Greats

Or when new technologies come about, one would 'think such would allow government to cut staff.
But I imagine when new technology comes about, government can think "Oh good, now we can move those resources somewhere else."

Easier to keep growing government and spending, redirecting it, in Bureaucrats minds, I'd 'imagine.
. . .

AI is a new tech, but I'm not sure how close it is to replacing jobs,
Though maybe it already has,
But what I mean is 'successfully replacing them,
Sure some people have been replaced, but AI still seems clunky to me.

Though, sure are a 'lot of AI Call Centers, unhelpful sometimes though.
