1st place: Town (Pie, savant, wylted, earth, GP, whiteflame, austin)
2nd place: Mafia (Casey, Vader)



Well I did warn you all the balance would be wonky. Mafia had two counters for investigative role, so the ninja was kind of wasted. Town honestly did have some very strong roles but most of them were one shot, and even earths day vig had huge backfire potential, as well as helping mafia during lylo. The roleblock was the towns saving grace here, good call from savant on that. Absent of that, I think mafia was able to pull plenty of mislynches, and vader would have probably been safe.

Also mafia didn't do that horribly, you do have to consider they technically got two mislynches, a third in most games would have won it for them, but circumstances and balance were pretty interesting this game, so yeah town did seem a bit OP based on choices made. 

GG's all sorry for the fast game, hope you had some semblance of fun. I'll do a more balanced based set up for my next game.

Hindsight we should've went for Savant instead of Austin for our DP1 lynch, but our biggest oversight as scum was Savant's RB. Even if we NK'd him, that's our biggest lynch target down the shitter and we could only pursue so many candidates with the ressurector role. 

Hindsight I would've probably chosen Politician and Strongman, with Lawyer and Mason Recruiter as well if I knew about the reviver role. But oh well. Knew balance was going to be swingy

Ya Wylted switched me to Beloved Princess. I was hoping worst case yall NK me and we get another lynch. Kept that in my back pocket

If somehow it got to 2v1 it would've been between You WF and Casey. We wanted to get rid of any WF credibility thru all the innocent cop results to draw a lot of suspicion + not being NK'd

Honestly, that might have ended badly, though I think I would have sussed Casey enough to vote them in the end. Pie was winning me over in our back and forth.

All part of my master plan to confirm Austin without losing my roleblock. I knew scum more likely than not had a role designed for better kills and that if Vader was scum, the temptation to use it would be too great. Since he was my top scum read before it came down to me and Austin, I had a close to 50% chance of stopping the night kill.

That or I just got kind of lucky. Mostly the latter.

I think it'd be close to balanced if GP hadn't been given the reviver role. It's an order of magnitude better than the other protective roles because it guarantees a protect and verifies the target's alignment as well.

With GP's role, town getting away with a mislynch sort of scot-free was a bit much.

Anyway, thanks Luna for modding, cool game.

Yeah I am realizing how powerful that role is, my thoughts on balance with it was that if GP chose that role and it was revealed at any point, mafia at the very least would know they would never have to worry about another protection role cucking them, and I figured it would help even out the killing role (killing roles in general are hard to balance in a nine player game, so if you factor a misvig which is way more likely statistically, it could really bone town). While in this instance it ended up really boning scum, I think if the savant roleblock hadn't basically guaranteed vader was scum, it was just as likely earth would have mis vigged and it would have balanced itself out a little better, especially given that he would have been missing a vote which forces mylo earlier if earth was left alive. But at the very least it causes for a lot of swing potential, and since every category is guaranteed a role, I knew from the get go this game would be swingy no matter what.

The more I think about it, town probably would have been boned in more cases than not in this set up despite having some pretty powerful roles, pies information kind of forced no one to trust confirmation. Also most of town's power was used night phase one since other than whiteflame, most town chose a powerful 1x role over everynight roles. And whiteflames role was basically not a threat with the lawyer. That roleblock might have been towns only saving grace outside of behavioral reads. And i'll give it to town, the casey reads seem to be largely behavior based with minor POE, as austin earth and GP were really only lock towns, technically pie and whiteflame were just as likely to be scum as casey.

Indeed, that is impressive. Mharman is pretty damn good at this game.

Well-done on the part of the town. I agree with Luna that the Reviver was a little too OP in context. It was always going to be hard for us after that role got used, and we were lucky it went to GP who insta-claimed as usual. Anyone else probably would have waited to claim and blindsided us.

Savant had to almost go out of his way to act that scummy. I am not trying to say town should care about their own behavior too much but it's almost like he was goingnout of his way to mimic normal behavioral scum tells. 

I am not sure if it was trolling or not. I wish he didn't because if not for him purposely mimicking scum behavior I would have been all for a Vader lynch
