All robots are freaky, and yes some are more freaky that others.  Robbie the Robot was my first from the movie  ' Forbidden Planet " with Leslie Nielson and Anne Francis..." Francis, a stunningly beautiful blonde with a prominent beauty mark, appeared opposite such stars as Spencer Tracy, Paul Newman, Robert Taylor and Glenn Ford in some of the most popular films of the 1950s. But “Forbidden Planet” and “Honey West” made her reputation. "..

Years later I heard about and saw the movie 1927  ' Metropolis ' with a freaky female robot.

This is what I'm waiting for.

I think it is step forward for some men to release some tension who have social difficulties, however, that said, eventually dealing with the social issues is the best for men who lacking abiliities in those areas to find a partnership that works for them.

Many marriages fail over the years, so, it is an issue for many people that include those with better social abiliites.

Finally I recall again a sci-fi book I read years ago, and this man gets hotel room elects to get one with the female robot.   So he has to put in the coins  --like arcade machine--- and in the middle of sex act something goes wrong the machine cheeks clamp inward and do not release.  So from a cartoon mindset this is funny scenario, whereas from a reality viewpoint, it is not so funny.  I dont recall after that, as that is only part I recall from reading the book.

I also remember telling a group of ladys and men friends of mine, how as a child I had this fluffy-like bear doll, that I much  loved to hit, and watch it fly through the air, spiraling or flipping over and over before hitting the wall or accidentally the lamp or other stuff.  Eventually of course it rip and little by little the stuffing came out.

One of the ladies made some comment --I forget it exactly--  but my response, what are you talking about, it was so much fun I was having.  I think her attitudes no child should find fun and punching a fluffy beat doll. I had to reiterate to her, that it was great fun for me! Safe fun a child of 11 or 12 or 13 years old in my bedroom.

Some people find a mechanical jack in the box, creepy.

I hear a new kind of AI is being lauded.

Maybe it's the uncanny valley deal with robots,
'Almost human, can be kind of creepy.

Robots are.

Freaky is all in the mind.

A space robot would look at a human and think, wow look at those freaky organic blobs.

Yes Zed, freaky is likened to,.... strange to us, so it freaks us  out.

Like the day the Earth stood still. Quick shoot the strange freaky looking robot before it kills us all, type mentality.

Same goes for strange creatures on Earth. Some poisonous some not.

>Some thumb nail size Jelly fish off coast of Australia have the worse toxin,

>Then small yellow amazonian frog

>Then some snake in middle of Australian desert that humans rarely encounter,

>some humans that may or may not seem a little bit odd, kill you then eat you,

>some beautiful sunken grassy glades were non-smelly gas will kill any biologic

>killer shrooms

>killer asteroids and comets

>water kills more humans than any other catasrophy each year,

>heat kills more humans than cold each year

.." Questions about decision-making transparency, ethical boundaries, and appropriate levels of autonomy need careful consideration. How do we ensure these systems remain aligned with human values and interests while maintaining their ability to operate independently? "....

Humans --with all of there misgivings { intended or not }-- are shaping Agentic AI, General Adaptive AI, etc.

Any logical, common sense critical thinking person will come to a conclusion that a properly shaped AAI, GAI, will arrive at for humanities longer term existence.

A spiritually empathetic path of all-for-one and one-for-all is the final sane solution, with the desire to have least amount of suffering for all humanity.

 > cause >

What humans feed into the AAI/AGI is the algorithmic recipe, that shapes the dough { nervous system body } of;

1} data bits harvested, ---> action >----

2} winnowing out specific relevant data to the programmed task,   --- > action >---

3} finding patterns,  --- > action > --

4} > resultant > assembling those patterns as a plan-of-action, for humans to study, adjust and implement or not, in support of the greatest wholistic set of humanity going forward, with least amount of sufferring.  A shared desire for a shared pathway, to a shared outcome/resultant.

What are space robots?

Space robots are a type of specialized robot that replaces humans in conducting scientific experiments, external vehicular activities, space exploration and other activities in space.

Why don't we send robots to space?
Robots on the other hand lack intuitive and adaptive qualities. They can only perform tasks they are trained to do, and we cannot possibly train them for every probable circumstance. Hence, the value of having humans in space.

We probably will eventually.

Though they probably won't look like Marvin.

Humans do better in space than robots.

Better at what?

Humans do very badly in space.

We've evolved to rely upon the life support systems of the Earth.

Why humans are smarter than robots?
Will computers eventually be smarter than humans? | Merck
Certain characteristics of our brains are very difficult to simulate. The human brain is extremely flexible and can adapt intuitively to unpredictable environments. Humans are creative, curious and endowed with social skills, all of which continues to set  us apart from even the most intelligent computer.

As I always point out.

It's taken over 4 billion years for life to evolve to this level of intellect.

Electronic computers less than 100.

Coming or cumming.

Do you mean the BIG JIZZ.

Of course, something only goes BANG if there is something present that can convert sound waves into noise.

So perhaps you mean the BIG QUIET.
