Lets abolish welfare and the minimum wage

If a poor person doesn't like their job due to lack of salary, the government could provide them with a better paying job.  If your on welfare, get off it and find a job.  The Government could provide you with one if you don't know where to find one.

This is so true, that is why many government workers are useless, and many government jobs are useless.  Also, when a lifetime Government worker transitions to the private sector, they can't keep the job because they had no idea how hard it actually is.  All private companies have essential jobs, there would never be such a thing as a partial private company shutdown because all jobs are essential to keep the company going.  Apparently, this is not the case with the government.  Some jobs are deemed non essential, which tells me we need to get rid of some of them, in fact, we need to get rid of a lot of them. 

I'm hoping, in the future, your statement above will not be true, we don't need more useless people in the government not really doing anything. 

We do need to get rid of the minimum wage.  If the job you do is not worth the minimum wage, then you are just taking money away from people that deserve it, or you are raising the cost for the services that are offered making it harder to support the whole company.
