I thought only women have periods where their mood changes, but I noticed that I have significant mood changes every week or two.

I guess this kinda proves that I am female who has periods every week.

My mood cycles from "Life is great" to "Everything sucks", and this cycle seems to happen on a weekly basis.

Like, there are days when I feel great for no specific reason, and there are days when everything seems horrible for no specific reason.

Like, nothing really changes in my life, but my mood changes for no reason.

If this isnt period, I dont know what is.

Like women, men experience hormonal shifts and changes. Every day, a man’s testosterone levels rise in the morning and fall in the evening. Testosterone levels can even vary from day to day.

Some claim that these hormonal fluctuations may cause symptoms that mimic the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), including depression, fatigue, and mood swings.

But are those monthly hormonal swings regular enough to be called a “male period”?

Yes, claims psychotherapist and author Jed Diamond, PhD. Diamond coined the term Irritable Male Syndrome (IMS) in his book of the same name, to describe these hormonal fluctuations and the symptoms they cause, based on a true biological phenomenon observed in rams.

He believes cisgender men experience hormonal cycles like women. That’s why these cycles have been described as “man-struation” or the “male period.”

You being trans Absolutely. Many trans and gender-diverse people menstruate. Whether you're a woman, a man, non-binary or agender, your body may menstruate too. This article explores the different ways trans women get their period and provides some tips on navigating your cycle.

Do trans women have periods?
Many trans women have periods. Some trans women don’t have uteruses, so they won’t bleed as part of a monthly menstrual cycle. But the hormonal experience of menstruation can still be very real.

Some trans women undergo gender-affirming treatment in the form of feminising hormones. These hormones can result in a range of physical and emotional symptoms, including:

Anxiety
Appetite changes
Bloating due to water retention
Cramping
Tiredness and fatigue
Listlessness
Mood swings
These symptoms may occur at the same time each month, just like premenstrual syndrome (PMS). For many trans women, this is their period.

Can men have periods?
Yes because some men are transgender and the right can't define what a woman is.

Hard to tell the difference when both men and women have periods.

Trans women don't have wombs.

It's more than likely seepage from reconstructive surgery scars.

If it's a man it's likely to be either prostate trouble or haemorrhoids.

Depending upon flow, either opt for a pad with wings or incontinence pants.

And consult you Physician immediately.

Well, technically you do need a womb in order to menstruate.

Though admittedly, one should refer to it as the uterus.

It is a periodic process of the uterus, relative to hormonal changes.

If you periodically discharge from your orifices, you really should consult your physician.
