I don't think the penalty for theft should be jail; it should be whippings.  I don't want my tax dollars going to take care of thieves.  Thieves may endure suffering from whippings; but I'm not a leftist, so I don't care.  My money matters more than their bodily autonomy to me.

If a leftist disagrees, then it's understandable because they care about reducing suffering; I just don't.  Suffering is temporary; often short term, so I don't care if people endure it largely.  I care more about funding public schools better than funding people in jail (who are economic parasites).

Fuck Trump.

I've stated I disagree with Underdog plenty on other threads.

I am not the underdog.

People can have very similar personalities.  The UDog and I have similar personalities.

If the UDog and I were the same, then I cannot name a single disagreement I have with the U Dog.  I can name disagreements.

One of them:

  1. The U Dog gets on Islamic homophobia more than a right wing Christian equivalent.  I prefer treating them equally; homophobia is bad; it should not be punishable with death whether in the west or the Arab world.
  2. He agrees with the GOP 2/3 of the time (so Tennessee).  I agree with them 45% of the time (so Colorado).

Claiming the U Dog and I are the same person is like saying Tennessee and Colorado are the same.

Economy is all about the distribution and redistribution of wealth, and criminality has always been an integral part of the system.

And whipping doesn't deter thieves; it just satisfies the lust of the self-righteous.

Of course, some would say that capitalism is morally criminal anyway.

And if Udog reidentifies, then that's cool by me.

Nope, if you want to punish thieves, put them to socially beneficial work.

Social gardening, litter picking, cleaning etc.

Make them wear orange overalls if you like.

And confiscate their mobile devices for the duration.

I guess in a world where ownership is impossible, then so would be thievery.

For every $10000 the government spends in operating costs to obtain prison labor, we get $1 in benefit.  Your idea is not efficient.

The idea is efficient.

It's the stupidity of humans that isn't.

And the greed of those that would be permitted to make financial profit from the idea.

Such is how things work I suppose.

As things are, if something is possible then it is not impossible.

We just make things up.

Like ownership and thievery.
