If undocumented immigrants get denied food stamps, then also deny it to trailer park trash (and the hood). Be consistent. Where you happen to be born should not matter in terms of how the government treats you.
I personally don't care if people get food stamps because it's not too expensive and without food stamps, there is a very chance that you kill an innocent person.
I've realized just how little economic liberty matters to me (I don't pay much in taxes and neither does most of this site and the people that have more money pay a lot in taxes, but they don't care either because they can take the blow).
I say though that I don't care if the undocumented get food stamps because they are strangers and I don't care if they live or die. I'm no leftist; I'm fine with poor strangers starving if it saves me money (but George Soros saving money is a different case because I'm selfish; I care more about my money than Soros'es).
I can understand and respect (but not agree) with a leftist wanting government paid for healthcare in order to save as many poor people as they can. I just don't agree with it because it's not my moral code; I'm fine with people dying even if it's other people's kids (because I'm not a leftist).

Actually, Harris was very tough on the border and leaned into that (and she lost, particularly among Hispanics).
In addition, with 2016 vs 2012, the GOP did better nationwide in 2016 than 2012, but in the border states, the opposite was true, implying that the people that know the undocumented the best that live along the border voted against Trump because of it.
Trump was talking about how bad the border was and Harris couldn't come up with a good argument against it; not because it doesn't exist; but because Harris is a career politician.
Me on the other hand; I've convinced probably half a dozen people who previously were pro ICE to become anti ICE on the border just anecdotally because I rebut their arguments and I largely know how they think on the issue.
In other words, I think I would make a better nominee for POTUS than Harris. I can call myself a democrat to be in the primary if needed (even if I would be a very right wing libetarian leaning democrat; kindof like Joe Rogan).
