What if Trump actually is a threat to democracy?

It argues that Trump tried to steal the election. I know you guys are used to hearing arguments from the democrats on this site who are frankly uninformed idiots. Their arguments are always that Trump tried to steal the election because there were protestors at the Capitol but this argument isn't made in the video I linked so it's worth looking at.

Let's assume Trump is a threat. Well democrats are also a threat. They will use lawfare. In fact they literally tried to have Trump removed from the ballot, there has been pressure by the democratic party to push journalists to be more biased. There are also the normal threats from the left that has been happening for years. For example they usually oppose measures that ensure the integrity of voting.

If we assume both are a threat than the question is who succeeds at ending democracy first?

If it is the left we will look like North Korea and if it is the right than they will just ban abortion or something but there will be less crime and more economic prosperity.

So this appears to be a matter of who is first to the punch. I do know that at one point Mike Pence did screw over America by not backing Trump because a successful coup here would have helped Trump restore democracy and give it back to the people. So does Pence go down in history as a hero for saving the republic or a villain if it allowed the left to punch first and turn us into North Korea?

All I known is that we have a bunch of cry baby moderates whining about low institutional trust, which coincidentally are the same people who were in control of institutions and could have just been good people and they never had to worry about the left or right coming for them.

Anyway as far as who wins this race for total control. I just know whoever wins the country Will get what it deserves and if either side decide to start genocide the elites of the other side. We'll that's actually fair. 

Who cares if he is a threat to democracy, that is a small price to pay, we must vanquish the enemy within, destroy the vermin, and purify the blood of our country.

These are horrible people, terrible people, liberals are the enemy, only a dictator can make this country great again.

They rarely actually make arguments. They just assert often.

The better question who whether there is a chance for democracy if one side vs the other wins.

For example if Nazis won the Battle of Britain, that wouldn't be a chance for peace or justice. That would lay the foundation for more death and suffering. If Trump becomes emperor of a digital fascist state mandating the apotheosis of his dynasty and theocratic law (the worst scenario that is within a lightyear of realism), how is that so much worse than a digital fascist state which continues to destroy the prosperity of the world and uses control all avenues of communication and information to maintain a constant state of ideological fervor over utterly petty non-issues like trans bathrooms.

The worst is no worse, but the vast distribution of outcomes where Trump and MAGA win are far better than the alternative.

Good point and we know at least Republicans will keep Trump in check. The democrats will not keep their leaders in check

There is no enemy within also Trump is the enemy within.
