In these challenging times, it's truly inspiring to watch Kamala Harris step up and do what’s necessary to safeguard democracy. She’s mastered the art of connecting with everyday Americans, whether it’s through her well-timed chuckles or a carefully curated wardrobe choice. We should be thankful that DNC selected Kamala is out there, tirelessly reminding us that democracy needs as much protection as her next perfectly crafted soundbite.

However, while Kamala is busy ensuring our political system stays intact, let’s not forget about the health risks lurking in our kitchens—or, as the CDC recently warned, our bathrooms. Yes, you heard that right. Apparently, washing your collard greens in the bathtub is now a thing, but it comes with a stern warning: Don’t do it! The CDC cautions against this practice, citing the potential for cross-contamination with bacteria like E. coli, or ingestion of bleach residue. So, as much as you might be tempted to dump your veggies in the tub for a quick rinse, just remember that your bathtub might not be the best salad spinner.

So, as Kamala continues to pander her way to protecting our democracy, let’s make sure we don’t let our guard down at home. The CDC is clear—keep the collard greens out of the bathtub. Stick to the sink, where at least you know the risks are limited to a bit of soap residue. Because in the grand scheme of things, we need both a healthy democracy and bacteria-free greens to thrive.

So what I'm hearing is "Kamala Harris suggests we use bleach as dressing". <yelling to minion> Somebody setup five or six "fact check" shell websites to confirm that one! </yelling to minion>

I hope Trump doesn't wash his food in the bathtub. Noel Casler, a former staffer on The Apprentice, claimed in a video that Donald Trump's incontinence and foul odor was a frequent issue on the set of the ex-president's reality show.

So I grew up in the south and often was in predominantly black areas. This is a thing. Growing them in the front yard and then washing them in your tub. If you bleach your tub really well it shouldn't be an issue* assuming you rinse the bleach out well and it wouldn't hurt to sanitize afterwords and let air dry with sanitizer that is 200 ppm on all the surfaces food will touch

Don't let facts get in the way of political propaganda, the last decade has proven doing such a thing just weakens you.

However if we must pretend we are in a rational society I would like to point out that you cannot contract a bacterial infection from food that is prepared by being boiled for half an hour (or more).

That's a good point also. Even if the tub is nasty the stuff is still probably safe to eat. I say probably because though ecoli and salmonella will be dead you can get toxins in there.

Plus, it makes the Big Macs soggy.
