How to virtually end crime

1. Create a world where the internet is so common and people use it so much that they are almost addicted to it.

2. Encourage parents to let their kids use the internet.

3. Let people in school know that in prison, there is no Wifi.

A lot of mass shooters are addicted to the internet.  They wouldn't want to go 50 years without the internet.  You would save so much money on law enforcement and the crime rate would plummet.

After reading your link to an extent, if I murder someone in a videogame, it's not the same thing as murdering them in real life. Some people don't like movies with blood and shooting in them, but they don't have to watch.

I don't think showing your 8 year old an R rated movie should merit a murder charge and I don't think raping someone online should be banned.  If it's too traumatizing for the victim, they can take off VR anytime they want too and their character would be dead, but the internet is not real life, just like R rated movies aren't real life.  I don't want to set the precedent, "Anything you do on the internet in an entirely fake context is the same as if you do it in real life".  Stealing 2000 Gold coins from Mario Bros is not the same thing as robbing someone $2000.

Are there a lot of mass shooters.

Maybe there are a lot of shooters because there are a lot of guns.

I would suggest that, with or without the internet, people are aware of the risks of being a mass shooter.

If I had a kid, I would want for him to get addicted to the internet, but it should be his choice.

You can end crime by making everything legal.
