For one, you are already assuming that the kids are Trans. Who says this is true? The kid? If that is the case, then when they think they are a puppy, then we should treat them such? Obviously not.
For two, They are freakin' kids! We don't let them drive until 16, smoke till 18, drink till 21. Why? Because they don't have the maturity to make good decisions and need mature parents to help them along the way. Why is it that their sexuality and gender is easily decided by them? They don' know what they are doing at such a young age.

We never just let our kids do what they want due to them "owning their own bodies". Really, parents are in the "circle of life" for a reason and it is not only for the physical support of feeding and clothing a child.
But I guess that is what the government is for and really no need for parents. Just look at the black population with 90% of black kids who don't know who their dad is. I'm sure I could look up some stats, but don't have time, about the destruction of a society if it was only ran by children making their own decisions.

I think they can set their own gender. If they want to biologically change it, I think maybe a 13-16 age limit is okay. They are kids who sometimes make bad choices, so I'm not completely against some sort of age restriction.

Well obviously they need parental permission too. Minors can legally do lots of bad things for them, but they need parental permission, so that brings the numbers way down.

Children are subjected to social trend and will respond accordingly.
A developing human organism doesn't know what "trans" is, until it is programmed with the relevant data.
Just as it does not understand it's internal sexual chemistry until it has develop accordingly, both in terms of physiology and intellect.
I would suggest that societies have developed, already allowing children access to the relevant data.
So when it occurs, they just interpret internal signalling relative to social trend.
And liberal societies have decided that this is OK.
I'm not sure that this is a good thing.
But why would it be a bad thing.
Maybe it is inevitable.
Maybe trends will change.
Though the rod of iron will only incite resentment and not solve anything.

They can change their gender all they want, and I'm a-ok with that, but sex changing surgery is a big decision. I don't really agree with all the people who say you are homophobic just for not letting minors get gender affirming care. It's a position I don't agree with, but I understand it.

Agreed. Too many parents have been going down the Munchausen by proxy syndrome rabbit hole when it comes to their children. Just look what the mother of Jazz Jennings did to him. He really didn’t think he was a girl when he was a boy. Now his life is screwed until the day he dies.
And as of late school teachers and administrators are being given more rights than the children’s own parents; and a few states already have it codified into law where kids can be taken away from their parents if their parents don’t agree with their transition, put into group homes or foster homes that will further that Munchausen by proxy via the state.
Disgusting world we live in.
