The GOP has no consistent ethos.  The Democrat ethos is they are anti-unwanted pain.

The idea that the 2 parties are equal doesn't make sense to me.  The democrats are more respectable voters because they have a consistent ethos and the GOP doesn't.

The democrat voter block is superior to the republican voter block from an intellectual standpoint, even if I personally lean more libertarian.  Libertarianism and Democrat ideology; they are equal because they are principled with something (for the libertarians, it's pro freedom, for the democrats, it's anti-unwanted pain).  Republicans don't have a consistent ethos, so their combination of beliefs is inferior.

The GOP I'd a big tent party so will have more of a mix of ideologies, but this anti unwanted pain nonsense is just that. Everyone is literally anti unwanted pain. It's also not true and just something that got stuck in your head that you are neither willing to explain or depend

You could simply bump your last thread on this subject, also titled “What is a republican?”

So split up into more ideologically similar factions and have rank choice voting if you are worried about splitting the vote.  Why would a non-religious buisinessman who is pro choice but wants lower corporate taxes have any sense in voting for a religious politician that is pro life and would restrict buisinesses to allow for more paid maternal time off to reduce the abortion rate just because they are both republicans?

Historically speaking, bumps tend to get ignored by DARTers.

@wylted

 Everyone is literally anti unwanted pain.

Explain how being pro deportation, pro AR 15, anti abortion, anti Medicare for all, anti free college and pro Gaza Genocide is the anti unwanted pain position?  How is opppsing a 93% top marginal income tax anti unwanted pain?
