50 years ago yesterday, a professor in Hungary made a 3d cube to teach his students geometry. It took him a month to solve it. Since then, the Rubik’s cube has been the most sold puzzle of all time, with over 500 million units sold worldwide.

To commemorate this, they made a Rubik’s cube that’s gold or something.

He even proved that adults will play with blocks if you market it correctly.

Jokes aside, I haven't solved a cube in years. I used to know but I forgot. It was fun while it lasted and 3D puzzles in general are neat.

Its a challenge that can be solved, which is why its fun.

Moving from unsolved problem to solved problem is the source of most common entertainment in humans.
