In the following video I do personally show a user how to improve their arguments using chat GPT. https://youtu.be/BOhFoul9WXU
Essentially though, chat GPT can be a powerful tool for improving debate performance and should be embraced. It is not a substitute for research or creative thinking but it will help none the less and gets you quicker more relevant results than Google usually does, and just like Google you still have to verify what it gives you is true.
Studies show that Chat GPT increases writing productivity, and has been conclusively proven to improve the quality of writing. https://news.mit.edu/2023/study-finds-chatgpt-boosts-worker-productivity-writing-0714
I would argue that new debaters are not using chat GPT enough. Use it. Use it often and, once it improves your quality to the point of being as good as those who are in the habit of writing higher quality debates........
Then and only then, may you find chat GPT to be a hindrance to your ability to write good arguments.
