What are credits?

I just received 3 credits for casting a debate vote. What are these?

You can spend them to lift debates or posts to the top of the thread.

Just let them pile up.

Lifting up debate and topics can be fun for some time, but its not really that great. 

I dont know what future uses will credits have.

Perhaps a way to cheer debates. You can have two of the best debaters arguing about something and if viewers are reluctant to do a close examination, they could just cheer at them. I think that would be fun

It needs to be a rated debate, and it must be finished so winner is declared and then if you voted on it, you get 3 credits.
