Why was Weinstein's conviction overturned?
A New York jury convicted Weinstein in 2020 on charges of forcibly performing a sex act on one woman and rape in the third degree for an attack on another woman. He was acquitted on charges of predatory sex assault and first degree rape.  
Six women testified against him during his trial, even though his charges only related to claims from three of them.

That was so unfair and Weinstein deserves sympathy because the rigged courts allowed 6 women to testify about his sexual assaults on them and he was only being charged for crimes he committed against 3 of them.

Republicans are so right to be concerned about the rights of the accused, just like they have always been over the decades. Republicans are very soft on crime and they are proud of it.

Standing alone, falsification charges would have been mere misdemeanors under New York law, which posed two problems for the DA. First, nobody cares about a misdemeanor, and it would be laughable to bring the first-ever charge against a former president for a trifling offense that falls within the same technical criminal classification as shoplifting a Snapple and a bag of Cheetos from a bodega. Second, the statute of limitations on a misdemeanor — two years — likely has long expired on Trump’s conduct, which dates to 2016 and 2017.


Remember how conservatives bitch and moan that black people are stealing from CVS and other stores and the liberal prosecutors won’t file charges if the police arrest them? Here we have a conservative telling us that nobody cares about misdemeanors and rightfully so -  as long as it’s a rich white guy I guess.

Even when murders in the largest cities in red states are removed, overall murder rates in Trump-voting states were 12% higher than Biden-voting states.

GP - you can't be this ignorant of current events, especially when it is broadcast on elite media.
Your citation exactly matches my citation. The reason for overturning the ruling was very liberal. Very soft on crime. Republicans are soft on sexual assault.
