When something good happens, thats good but it will result in bad.

When something bad happens, thats bad but it will result in good.

You cannot have good without the bad.

Any time you try to eliminate the bad, Tao will punish you with more bad.

It is the law of nature that evil must exist together with good.

Japanese people thought:
"We are going to create perfect society. Japan is the most rich country. Japan is most safe. Japan has least murders. Thus, Japan will be perfect."

However Japan: lowest birth rates, highest suicide rates.

Praise Tao's revenge!

Praise Tao's revenge upon Japan!

Japan tried to create best society and ended up creating a very bad country which cant even reproduce.

Thats how Tao punishes those who reject the natural order of good and evil.

A Zedku for BK.

All that we can say is,

Events occurred,

Events are occurring,

And events will occur.

In that respect,

Tao just states the obvious.

Which is not to say that I do not appreciate the Yin and Yang concept.

Nonetheless,

We can all remember and say,

This and that happened.

Maybe its obvious to you and me, but most people are clueless about the principle of non-contending.

Even after 4000 years, there are still idiots who believe they can fix the world.

Like, you would think that after 4000 years of trying, they would give up.

Lol

Tao teaches that the world can only be slightly improved by personal example.

Good doesn't necessarily result in bad but good is a positive reaction to what is bad hence what makes it good.

Hence we know what a positive value to a rainy dreary stormy tumultuous day with a sunny day.

Why didn't the goodness of consuming vegetables result in bad or poor health?

It did. It made humans live longer and multiply more so they can cause even more pain on Earth.

Notice how you moved the goalpost from health. It resulted in good health.
When you conflate everything like you're doing, you can make anything that's actually good just appear bad so good and bad become meaningless.

If that's the way law worked, we wouldn't have a justifiable means to charge one person directly responsible to a crime.

We can just pursue the cause of the cause of the cause of the cause of the cause convicting all of them.

No no.

Its better if law is abolished.

Nobody said you set the goalpost. It was already set and you moved it which is a fallacious way to argue your point.

"good and evil " But but but good and evil are just social constructs, there is no such thing as good and evil, there are only endless subjective opinions.

It doesn't really matter at this point. This is another derailment. But go ahead and filibuster to avoid conceding.

@Best.Korea

There is an old Taoist parable that might better illustrate the flexibility of determining whether any given event in your life is "good" or "bad".

There was a farmer who one day left his stable door ajar and his horse wandered away.

His neighbor notes, "it is a terrible thing that you forgot to secure your stable, for now you have lost your only horse."

The farmer doesn't reply.

A few days later his horse returned with a wild horse.

His neighbor is surprised and exclaims, "it is a wonderful thing that you forgot to secure your stable! Because now you have two horses!"

The farmer doesn't reply.

A week later the farmer's son is training the new horse and is thrown onto a rock and breaks his leg.

The neighbor sympathetically comments, "it is a terrible thing that you forgot to secure your stable, because now your son is lame."

The farmer doesn't reply.

The next year their king declares war and forcibly recruits all of the able bodied young men to fight.

The neighbor chuckles, "it is a wonderful thing that you forgot to secure your stable, because your son, being lame, will not have to face the horrors of battle."

The farmer doesn't reply.
