By showing that he is lying, that he did have an affair, it shows a motive for making the payments and wanting to hide them after concocting the conspiracy with Michael Cohen and being rejected by David Pecker who paid for the first hush money conspiracy to silence Karen McDougal, but wouldn’t agree to pay Daniels.

What business? Did she own a business at the time? Was the hush money payment  business income? Does it matter? David Pecker got immunity to cooperate with the DA for obvious reasons. A corrupt President (Trump concocted this scheme as President) is a much more significant offense to the people than a corrupt porn star or tabloid executive. Wouldn’t you agree?
