Do you ever get frustrated?

Can you not withstand the heat in the debating kitchen?

Air your grievances, gripes and problems with one another on this topic .

Do you get angry, become passive aggressive, irate and berating to whom you're debating?

Take this time to lay down on the virtual couch in this therapy session .

Well, I am not sure why would anyone get upset. Maybe feeling pressure is normal, but if you are getting angry, then thats just gonna harm your side of debate.

No.

The better the argument the other person makes, the more challenging it'll be to respond, and if I'm wrong then I've learned something.

The worse the argument the other person makes, the clearer it becomes that they have no rebuttal.

But my favorite is when an argument sounds right but feels wrong, that's when I get to figure out why and potentially what fallacies I almost fell for which better prepare me for the next one.

It's all about expectations. If your goal is to change the other person's mind you're probably in for disappointment. I just approach it as an exercise. The only time I get frustrated or disappointed is when I expected more from the individual I'm talking too, but that only hits once.

"Does debating ever get you emotional or upset?" It used to because I thought I could change peoples minds with good arguments and facts. I have learned that is not the case. I just give my view on any given subject and leave it at that. If challenged I just say we agree to disagree if nothing the other party presents makes any intellectual sense.  If good factual points are made, I will consider chaining my mind. That rarely happens. Most rebuttals are ad homs, character assassination's and shaming tactics. The single most impossible thing for any human being to admit to is being wrong about their beliefs.

Thats not true, as I probably changed my beliefs 20 times by now.

I went from Christian to atheist, family values to gay acceptance, con abortion to pro abortion, Communist to imperialist, vegetarian to meat eater, wanting to help the poor to not wanting to help the poor, pro government healthcare to con government healthcare, pro free speech to anti free speech...

Well, I could go on, but the only consistent belief I displayed was about child marriages, and I even said that they were wrong, so yeah good luck guessing my beliefs.

Nope.

Not theses days.

Debating is one of many metaphorical mating rituals.

So higher testosterone levels will inevitably result in more readily elevated levels of tension and anxiety.

Masturbation is probably the quickest solution.

Though the problem is likely to be ongoing.

Do you think you can overcome yourself, overcome getting emotional and frustrated by simply debating?

Let's elaborate this for the people.

What happened in your aging to help you overcome?

In the main,

Physiological change.

Making me less competitive and therefore less anxious.

Perhaps formative conditioning and ongoing intellectual development, also defined the way that I think

Making  me more content.

Though I suppose that one must consider social environment too.

Yes what I'm letting you know is the question I'm asking, do you think you'll overcome not getting emotional and or frustrated over debating, also will you answer questions to help people get understanding and  get answers to their questions?

Will you be willing to elaborate your answers or answer follow up answers?
