Message notification bug

I’m getting a bug where the little orange dot next to the green envelope won’t go away, no matter how many times I open all my messages.

How do I fix it?

It means someone who DMd you multiple things sent you a message you didn't actually read yet, even if you think you did.

Scroll up the most recent DMs further up.

The alternative is to delete the entire conversation with recent contacts and refresh pages each time to see if it went.

I found a message I hadn’t read that was deep in my messages

I swear I heard of a bug like this in the past tho… I posted this thread because I couldn’t find a thread containing what I think I’m remembering 

I've had it happen to me, that's how I know what the solution was.
