Your email is most likely compromised and can be a big issue if you are ever a public figure

Many of you would like to be future politicians. You imagine a future where you run for president or become a senator. You hold significant influence over policy. However while pursuing this dream one thing, one misstep can ruin your chances to ever achieve this goal. A series of password leaks in 2016 cost Hillary Clinton the election. https://wikileaks.org/clinton-emails/ (do not click if you have security clearance) . The Podesta email leaks were similarly embarrassing for the Democratic party. https://www.politico.com/live-blog-updates/2016/10/john-podesta-hillary-clinton-emails-wikileaks-000011 . The Ashley Madison leaks ruined the marriages o many politicians but more importantly compromised their security. Sarah Palin had a bunch of personal information leaked in 2008. Macron in 2017 had an email leak. Donald Trump's linked in password was compromised in a large breach and a security researcher used it to crack his twitter password. A few years later Trump's passwords were so weak they were easily compromised again by the exact same security researcher. His twitter password for those curious was "yourefired" and a compromise where somebody acted as president and announced something like "nukes in air heading to north korea now" could have some crazy impacts.

Needless to say, you need email security so your political career is not ruined, so you do not compromise national security when elected to public office and also so you don't embarrass your political party. Here is a guide for all future politicians on how to secure your passwords. It doesn't cover 2 factor authentication which is recommended along with this advice, but it does cover how to have maximum password security without crossing into territory where doing so makes it overly inconvenient. https://youtu.be/85Q0HnKHCzo?si=Ui15bFxP09O1hei7

While Protonmail is both secure and private (though it can be an inside job by the elites, easily, if you study the mysterious rise of Proton-privacy stuff), Gmail and Microsoft's Outlook, formerly Hotmail, are misunderstood as insecure.

There's extremely secure for citizens, not intelligence personnel against hacking, too tier at that. It's privacy from corporations they lack. Google will never sell you data to other companies because it theoretically selfishly gains from secretly knowing your private stuff for its ads and preventing other corporations getting it.

I believe they don't read emails but the specific headers like knowing site XYZ emails you DEF often with subject header ABC, it is possible they're using that especially if your privacy settings aren't done well on it.

I only use my email for games, this site and YouTube.

I literally dont give a fuck if someone hacks my email, as making another is very easy and I must say that my email was never hacked or if it was then hack didnt do anything so I didnt notice.

The real problem would be reusing passwords.

RM,

This is mostly about password security but the EFF does share some articles on making email privacy more secure uf you are facing nation state adversaries.

If you are facing threats from nation states not on a general level, but specifically targeting you than you need to make yourself an expert on opsec

When I first made emails I used to make long passwords for my email because I thought I could be hacked but later I realized that even if I get hacked, then I can simply make another email so now I use simple passwords that just satisfy minimum required strength by gmail.

I think if you actually have something to protect, better not put it on internet at all because all you are doing is making enemy's attack stronger.

I never bought anything on internet by paying for it online but I always pay on delivery because its same just safer even if I am considered backwards, as I often pick up viruses on PC so I feel like those spyware viruses are following my activity and I dont want to give them access to my money.

It sounds like you are shrinking your attack surface. Why are you getting malware though?

I download games and visit shitty sites which give me viruses, and most sites these days except the popular ones seem to be constantly trying to install something on my PC.

I have a video on disabling scripts to combat those shady sites. When you download games just make sure you are not downloading an exe file, and clear your browser history before entering any site that allows you to download the games

I download games through torrent, where there is always a chance to pick up some viruses because even antivirus is useless due to too many false positives which if  I deleted all then would have almost no games to play.

As for sites, literally any site from anime sites to porn sites always keep giving me ads which open when I accidentally click on them and I feel like they install something on my PC and I barely care because when viruses pile up I just reinstall windows and delete all.

I dont care much for viruses as most are just spyware which do no harm, but once I did get a virus which locked all files on my PC and the retard hacker left message and thought I will pay him to unlock files but I just reinstalled windows.

That seems like a good strategy to be honest.

As I myself am actually well versed in computing I can tell you that's a dogshit strategy and means they can even have enough to send your relatives etc stuff you post, do etc online but maybe BKdoesn't care.

If the hackers wanted to, they could ruin his life by making his emails and related accounts to send things to employer and whatever else.

He claims he is only using the internet for Dart and games. I don't believe him but if it's true I guess it's not much risk. If he does have family be co.municates with, getting ahold of his email is all they need. One attack hackers use is to just use your email to contact all your relatives with malicious links. He is claiming to not even communicate with his relatives though.

As I pointed out before that I dont have friends, therefore its clear I probably dont even talk to relatives, and no, I dont talk with relatives or anyone I know in real life through internet because what I need is someone to attack and relatives arent exactly better targets than anonymous users are, as I prefer to be very far from those I attack, and I was never even in much contact with my relatives, as my family is not made up of people I like or who like me.
