It seems that people in Texas are fed up with the migration crisis that old Joe is incapable of fixing.

Do you thing Texit is possible? Is it viable legally? What do you think, dear American?

Yes

Is it viable legally?
The law is a lot like morality. A set of laws, or more precisely the interpretation of a set of laws never seems to win unless people who believe in it shoot other people.

Having established there is no force behind the law but force perhaps you are asking if an objective observer would conclude that a state breaks the law by seceding.

In that case the answer is simple and unsatisfying: There is no exit clause in the US constitution. Which means it's decided by context (if anything)

There was the civil war. Did any legal question get resolved? No. The federal government just shot anyone who claimed that secession was possible.

Logically what one enters into voluntarily without specifying a time-limit, one may with withdraw from at any time.

A much stronger argument is that the contract has been broken and is thus null and void.

Logic and objective interpretations of the law won't matter. They didn't matter in 1860. They didn't matter in 1776. The last argument of kings matters. What people believe matters.

Yeah, you can print a lot more money if Texas isn't there to stop the inflation.

Legally, states in USA arent part of a country that is "voluntary union which its territories can leave at will".

While states have lots of power, they are overwritten by US government any time when in contradiction.

Although letting Texas separate would be biggest possible defeat for Republicans.

They would lose 40 electoral votes, making it impossible to win 2024 election or any election ever.

So yes, letting Texas separate would be good for USA and democrats.

In fact, letting a few republican states separate would make republican party politically non-existent in USA.

"Even if the Legislature were to act on the new Republican Party proposal to put an independence referendum on the general election, it would not be legally valid.

“The legality of seceding is problematic,” Eric McDaniel, associate professor of government at the University of Texas at Austin, told The Texas Tribune in 2016.

“The Civil War played a very big role in establishing the power of the federal government and cementing that the federal government has the final say in these issues.”

As the United States was torn apart by divisions over whether slavery could expand into the nation’s western territories, Texas in 1861 voted to secede from the Union.

In the ensuing Civil War, up to 750,000 people — more than 2 percent of all Americans — died.

Following the defeat of the Confederacy in 1865, Texas was formally readmitted to the Union in 1870, during the Reconstruction Era.

Many historians believe that when the Confederacy surrendered at Appomattox in 1865, the idea of secession was forever defeated, McDaniel said.

The Union’s victory set a precedent that states could not legally secede.

Even before Texas formally rejoined the nation, the U.S. Supreme Court declared that secession had never been legal, and that, even during the rebellion, Texas continued to be a state."

I vote to kick out Texas and few other Republican states.

It might seem like it would harm USA, but it would not.

Republican states are the ones electing Trump.

Trump is the one helping US enemies.

So really, without republicans in power, US enemies dont stand a chance.

Is Texas even an important part of USA?

The feds are all in on illegal population increase. If they haven't secured the border, they wouldn't dare shrink the population contributions from the states.

That would cause the Ponzi scheme of getting fresh kids to preserve unfunded entitlements to collapse much faster. Smooth concrete theory.

Glad you are onboard with the revolution komraide.

There is a strong correlation between  being Christian and being fed up with migrants.

One can almost sense a causation.

Now, Texas is only 8% of GDP and is filled with people who by all standards have nothing to look for in a democracy.

Its not a significant loss for USA to just kick Texas out.

Biden and Trump are very close in polls, and Texas is a state which could give Trump 40 electoral votes, which is about 8% of all votes.

So really, one must wonder if Texas separating would be a really bad thing or maybe not so bad after all.

Few other republican states can separate too.

Its not a problem.

Politically, for Democrats, whats exactly the use of Texas and states like Texas?

Last time it gave 38 votes to Trump, none to Biden.

If power is the goal, it seems logical to prefer to have power with smaller USA than not have power with bigger USA.

That's what Kelly Osbourne wanted to know.

Not sure what left tribe projection might be.

Or who Kelly Osbourne is.

Though this moderate Brit see's the fields of Eastern UK awash with Eastern European vegetable pickers.

And the hospitals and care homes of the UK, awash with nurses from the far flung corners of the world.

Because very few self respecting pseudo-natives are prepared to get their hands dirty anymore.

Thanks be to migrants.

Of course, it's worth pointing out that all Americans and Brits are the descendants of migrants.

Not sure what left tribe projection might be.
They see themselves as elite college graduates. They have a white savior complex. The cost of pity is respect in many cases.

They say they care about blacks and 'latinos', but they have little respect for them.

The Spanish speaking first generation immigrants I know are some of the most competent and virtuous people I have ever met. I have said for a while now that I'd rather the central americans stay and the left-tribe college grads go.

If the playing field was fair, they wouldn't be cleaning toilets for long... but it isn't. They are getting bussed to blue cities based on lies. They won't find meaningful work there, they'll become wards of the state. Bargaining chips for congressional seats and money laundering social programs.

Meanwhile the productive people will continue to be fed upon, and their effort will pay for the free (and absurdly priced) degrees of those overwhelmingly left-tribe university drones I mentioned at the top.

Or who Kelly Osbourne is.
Some blue haired lady who was on a left-tribe talk show and mocked Trump for wanting to stop illegal immigration because there would be nobody left to clean his toilets. Watching her backtrack was satisfying.

Though this moderate Brit see's the fields of Eastern UK awash with Eastern European vegetable pickers.
It could be worse. It could be much worse for the US too. For all the talk, most people coming from central America are decent and should be welcomed. Like I said it's how they're coming as well as the fact that the bad guys making $$$ off smuggling them are really really bad. Like I don't think a brit (or even many Americans) have a good sense for just how evil the gangs can get in central America.

One gang apparently rapes people as a rite of passage. You literally can't be in the gang unless you've raped someone.

The question that needs to be asked is why? There has always been a labor pressure when nations have different production/labor rates, but the way this all started at relatively the same time?

Oh, and the people who have the biggest problem (and I think they know it) are France, Italy, and Spain. Their 'immigrants' like to throw homosexuals off buildings, chop off hands, behead cartoonists, that kind of thing. Not all, but way way too many support it.

Of course, it's worth pointing out that all Americans and Brits are the descendants of migrants.
You don't say? Here I was thinking we had each sprung up from the ground fully formed and there was no migration in human history at all.

It's also worth pointing out that mass migrations tend to precede or follow vicious wars and destabilize empires and civilizations.

On the subject of where are all these migrants going:

Apparently to Chicago, to drive locals in the the right-tribe. Little does this guy know that there will be a huge cache of ballots "discovered" sometime after midnight.

Defamatory statements by Best.Korea:

Lied about conviction count = LCC = 0
Lied about rape count = LRC = 0

LCC = 1

Demonize the victim because she was raped at the time when most people would blame her for being raped? [https://www.debateart.com/forum/topics/10369/posts/422654]

Demonize the victim because she was raped in circumstances where rape victims didnt have any support, and because she had no way of dealing with it at the time? [https://www.debateart.com/forum/topics/10369/posts/422654]

If Texas does succeed, then it would be self sufficient on its own.  It has access to the ocean, oil and it's own power grid.  A little mini-country to be sure.  Possibly the whole SE sector of the USA would go with it to create it's own country and watch as the Blue USA implodes since it needs hard working conservatives to pay for it's lavish life style and government programs and supports bums, homeless, and a welfare society.

The problem for Texas to leave the union would not be the loss of 40 votes for Trump, it would be that the remainder would have to fight for oil since Texas produces about 3 times as much oil than the next leading state, New Mexico.

So I hope the electric car really does kick off in the rest of America since the idea of gasoline will be an idea of the past.

Oh, and they should throw out Ted Cruz when they do succeed.  That guy is a sham.
