Its interesting that revenge often leads to slippery slope where people attack each other into infinity.

Smart people dont waste time with revenge because:
1. Revenge causes more problems
2. Revenge causes revenge
3. Revenge doesnt fix people

With stupidity being in decline, world will go above its previous customs, abandon them and accept better ones. Hopefully.

You really believe that?

I can tell you, revenge has little to do with intelligence. Rather, it's the ego that makes people find revenge. It's more about what people call spiritual growth, something that Victor likes a lot. Lol.

Gandi said an eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind. Jesus said to turn the cheek instead of getting revenge. Christians believe Jesus had the right to defend himself before his death, but chose to offer himself as a sacrifice, and in the process he defeated sin and death.

I think one argument against the pointlessness of revenge is the fact that revenge plays such an important role in fiction. In Conan the Barbarian, for example, Conan prays to Krum to grant him revenge, and that battle, followed shortly by the beheading of Thulsa Doom, is the climax of the movie.

Revenge satisfies a deep need we all have to see justice in the world. We fanticize about it and tell stories about it because we know that real life is ultimately unfair.

Its true that revenge feels good.

It probably comes as part of old instinct,

since most animals take a sort of revenge on other animals who bully them.

Animals who dont defend themselves would probably get more bullied.
