Would history be different if Nazis expanded slower?

Ok. First, I am glad we are not in an alternative world where things suck.

Now. We know the path that nazi Germany did take. Allies won. Yay.

Would there be any difference if they had moved slower?

Ex:
  • If they did not attack france when they did
  • If they kept their alliance/ non attack pact with Russia
  • If they had developed more alliances
  • If their jump to war occured 3 years later

Would the war occured any different way other than win/loose?
Would the war actually occured?

USA would get atomic bomb either way. Sure, maybe Hitler would be alive if he choose some option that didnt include Total War.

Do you want Total War?

No.

Total War bad.

Maybe world war two would have been just a european war and war in asia if things moved slower?

All of history would have been played out differently if all of history had been played out differently.

History didn't begin in the 1930's...Nor did history begin with Homo-sapiens.

So for instance, if a mass extinction event hadn't played out back in the day, then ongoing events and development would have been different.

Notwithstanding that a whole load of stuff occurred previously.

The formation of our solar system for example.

"All of history would have been played out differently if all of history had been played out differently."     There can be no more accurate and succinct answer. There is nothing more to say or add  but for the opposed  to grab and flail at  redundancies and circular nonsense.

On 11 December 1941, four days after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor , Nazi Germany declared war against the United States, in response to what was claimed to be a series of provocations by the United States government when the U.S. was still officially neutral during World War II.  The decision to declare war was made by Adolf Hitler, apparently offhand, almost without consultation. It has been referred to as Hitler's "most puzzling" decision of World War II.

I think War with Russia is the big what if consideration.  Russia inflicted 85% of all German military casualities at a horrific price.  That is, if Germany had not gone to war with Russia then Britain and later, America would have faced the other five-sixths of the German Army in  Africa and the Middle East.  That suggests a much wider range of potential outcomes to follow.

I always wondered what would happen if germany had gone deeper into africa. I know the land is not as developed, but I always figured africa would not have been conquered.

Either way Japan did same thing by attacking U.s. Spread themselves to thin. However, as mentioned above. If America still gets the nuke first, the end result may very well still be peace treaty and surrender by Japan. However, would that also mean Getmany would surrender without Allied troops invading Germany? That is a scary thought.
