Today's person: I want food, car, phone, house, computer, juice, TV and everything.

So today's person uses a lot more resources.

Today's person eats a lot of the planet's resources.

The claim that we should make sure people are less hungry is VAGUE and ILL-DEFINED.

As explained by a good American patriot the term HUNGER can mean any number of things and correctly states that this is good enough reason to not WASTE our VALUEABLE MONEY feeding the ECONOMICALLY UNPRODUCTIVE children:

In the United States and other high-income countries, hunger is mainly caused by poverty that results from a lack of jobs or jobs that pay too little. Hunger rates rise when the national or local economy is in a slump.
